Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all purchases of outdoor lighting products (including string lights, wall sconces, path lights, pendant lamps, solar-powered fixtures, and related accessories; collectively “Products”) from LumiOutdoor (“Company,” “we,” or “us”) via our official website, authorized retailers, or direct sales channels. By placing an order, you (“Customer,” “you”) agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms provided at checkout.
1. Order Acceptance & Confirmation
- Your order constitutes a request to purchase Products. We reserve the right to accept, reject, or cancel orders (e.g., due to incorrect pricing, out-of-stock items, suspected fraud, or mismatched custom specifications). A binding contract is formed only when we send a “Shipping Confirmation” email containing tracking details.
- Custom Products (e.g., fixtures with non-standard finishes, custom-length string lights, or personalized engraved designs) require a 25% non-refundable deposit upon order placement. We will provide a digital design mockup within 3 business days for your approval; production commences only after confirmation. Custom orders cannot be canceled, modified, or refunded once production starts.
2. Payment Terms
- We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), PayPal, and Klarna (for installment plans). All payments are processed in U.S. Dollars.
- Listed prices exclude applicable sales tax, which is calculated based on your shipping address and added at checkout. We may adjust prices due to typographical errors or supply chain changes, with prior email notification; you may cancel the order if you disagree with the revised price.
- For Klarna installment plans, late fees or interest may apply per Klarna’s terms. Unpaid or declined payments may result in order cancellation, with the non-refundable deposit (for custom orders) forfeited.
3. Shipping & Delivery
- We ship to all 50 U.S. states, Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories. Standard shipping (5–7 business days) is free for orders over $250; orders under $250 incur a $19.99 fee. Expedited shipping (2–3 business days) is available for $39.99; U.S. territories and remote areas require additional freight fees (contact support@lumioutdoor.com for a quote).
- Deliveries include curbside drop-off (fixtures are shipped in protective, weather-resistant packaging). You must inspect Products upon delivery: report damages, missing parts, or incorrect items to us within 48 hours via email (with photos of the packaging and issue). Failure to do so may void our responsibility for replacements or refunds.
4. Returns & Refunds
- Eligible non-custom Products may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund (excluding shipping fees), provided they are unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging (including all parts, manuals, and accessories).
- To initiate a return, request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number via our website. Returns without an RMA or with missing components will be rejected. You are responsible for return shipping costs; we recommend using a trackable, insured carrier.
- Custom Products are non-returnable unless defective (verified by our quality team). Refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days of receiving and inspecting returned Products, credited to your original payment method.
5. Warranty
- All LumiOutdoor Products include a 5-year limited warranty: (a) For LED bulbs and internal electrical components: covers defects in materials/workmanship and premature burnout. (b) For frames, glass shades, and housing: covers rust, corrosion, and cracking due to normal weather exposure (excludes damage from extreme events like hurricanes or vandalism).
- The warranty does not cover: (a) Normal wear and tear (e.g., minor fading of finishes over time); (b) Damage from improper installation (follow included instructions or hire a licensed electrician); (c) Modifications without our approval; (d) Use in non-outdoor environments (e.g., indoor use of “outdoor-only” fixtures).
- To claim warranty service, provide your order number, photos of the defect, and a description. We may repair, replace, or refund defective items at our discretion; we cover one-way shipping for warranty replacements.
6. Intellectual Property
- All content on our website (product images, descriptions, logos, design mockups) is owned by LumiOutdoor and protected by U.S. copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify this content without our written permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
- We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (e.g., installation costs, property damage from improper use, or inconvenience) arising from Product defects, shipping delays, or order cancellations. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the purchase price of the affected Product.
8. Changes to Terms & Dispute Resolution
- We may update these Terms periodically; changes will be posted on our website and take effect immediately. Your continued purchases after changes are posted constitute acceptance of the revised Terms.
- Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be resolved via good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration in California (per the American Arbitration Association rules) rather than litigation.
